One never stops learning, an that holds true for the art of photograpy as for any other art and trade. Street is a special space to take pictures. You have to be fast, look around you through a virtual viewfinder. In fractions of a second the camera needs to shot the picture. Compostion and subject are already framed in your mind before you push the trigger. You are the camera; the device in your hand is merely a technical necessity. It takes many hundred of pictures to become somehow fluent in this art. The skills you acquire help you in the studio, as well: Forget about the technology, about that heavy camera in your hand. Instead you concentrate on the only subject that matters: the person in front of you, the sitter. Be fast and take up that flow which comes alive if everthing is good: the light, the atmosphere, the conversation between you and the sitter.
Stillives help us to frame visual thoughts . Other than in Street everything is arranged. Still, the lessons from the street help here, too. The viewfinder distracts you from the true picture - you should have formed it before.
